Normanton Street  formed in September 2011. Four long term close friends Bukky Fehintola, Ned Archibong, Jack Butterworth and Nicholson Davids reconvened in Brighton, rented a house and began to attend just about every open mic the city had to offer. Since the band's formation, three additions have been made; Elliot Tomas on drums, Hannah Lynn on saxophone and Phoebe Freya adding to the variety of vocals the band has to offer. The band has been building a following in Brighton and London from their live shows plus online and physical releases.
